The Balvenie 25 Year Old Rare Marriages Scotch Whisky

After a 14 year maturation period in traditional oak whisky casks, the Balvenie is then transferred to the rum casks. Signature smooth, honeyed character of the Balvenie, while adding unique notes of toffee and fruit from its innovative cask finish.

To create the ideal finish Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE filled American oak casks with his own blend of select West Indian rums.When he judged the casks to be ready, the rum was replaced with the 14 year old spirit and the wood was put to work adding the final touches.The result is an exceptional single malt whisky with the traditional smooth, honeyed character of The Balvenie married with notes of toffee and a hint of fruit, with a warm, lingering finish. In the Raw Craft series, Bourdain traveled across America to discover the unique skills of some of its most talented and dedicated craftspeople, from hand-tailored suits to cast iron skillets, to snare drums made out of whisky casks.
