Blade & Bow 22 Year Old Bourbon

For a premium quaff that insists on being enjoyed slowly, pour yourself a glass of Orphan Barrel Blowhard 22 year old Kentucky bourbon. As yet richly endowed bourbon from the line of offerings under the Diageo family of brands, this wonderfully crafted bourbon was distilled at the Bernheim distillery and originally released in 2014. Aged for 22 years with a finished barrel strength of 90% proof, Blowhard is composed of a mash bill containing 86% corn, 8% malted barley, and 6% rye. On the nose are layers of dried leather, oak, and sweetly burn sugar over cues of raisins dipped in orange peelings and cherries. The palate is boldly oaky with notes of dried cherries and dark melted chocolate.
