This beauty is a high rye bourbon which takes its inspiration from one of Louisville’s prominent German immigrants of the 19th Century, Christian Heigold. He was a stonecutter who showed his patriotism for his new land by carving ornate American symbols in the facade of his home.
The whiskey is delicious and is overflowing with notes of sweet corn, spice, butterscotch, citrus and a hint of malt. The mouthfeel is gracious and dense with new characteristics presenting themselves in every sip.
