The mix of casks – American and European oak, first and second fill – all play their parts to create this Glenlivet 18 Year Scotch Whiskey.

The European oak adds spicy notes and complexity and the first-fill American oak casks add the tropical fruitiness that makes it unmistakably The Glenlivet in style. Its golden hue bears testimony to its 18 years of very well spent maturing.

Expect lots of honey and caramel from the get-go, winding into an interestingly dry and lingering finish entwining leather, cocoa, coconut, and ginger.

The Glenlivet is the single malt that started it all. It is the oldest legal distillery in the parish of Glenlivet, Speyside Scotland. It was founded in 1824 and has operated almost continuously since.
